Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join a fast-growing, founder-led professional services firm based in the United States. This executive-level position partners closely with the CEO to help guide the organization through its next growth phase by enhancing operational excellence, financial management, AI-driven automation, and scalable workflows. The role is primarily remote with travel to San Francisco approximately four times annually.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee both Finance and Operations functions, serving as a single accountable leader.
Lead financial planning activities including forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis.
Enhance reporting on customer and program profitability.
Drive operational change through redesigning workflows and implementing automation.
Create and maintain executive dashboards and key performance indicator reports.
Collaborate with the CEO to enhance execution capabilities, scalability, and strategic decision-making.
Manage and mentor a small Operations team including the Controller.

Candidate Profile

Minimum of 10 years experience in leadership roles encompassing Finance and Operations.
Proven track record working with organizations generating $10 million or more in annual revenue (optimal range $15 million to $50 million).
Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss management, cash flow, and executive-level reports.
Demonstrated capability in streamlining operational processes and leading organizational transformation.
Familiarity with Salesforce or equivalent customer relationship management platforms.
Practical experience using AI technologies to advance business operations.
Background in founder-led or entrepreneurial business environments preferred.
