Job description

Role overview

This is a senior finance leadership position for a United States-based professional, supporting a fast-growing technology company through a partner recruitment process. The role is centered on strategic finance, planning, analysis, and decision support, with broad exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

The position is designed for someone who can shape financial strategy, strengthen the finance operating model, and turn data into clear business direction. It combines FP&A leadership, advanced modeling, performance measurement, and process improvement in an AI-oriented, high-growth environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep SaaS finance experience, a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to translate complex financial information into practical recommendations for senior stakeholders. The role also offers the chance to influence growth across product, engineering, sales, and marketing while helping build a scalable finance foundation.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the full financial planning and analysis cycle, including forecasting, budgeting, multi-year planning, and scenario analysis in support of major strategic initiatives.
  • Advise on significant business choices such as product spend, pricing, geographic growth, and potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to executives and department leaders by delivering insights on growth, efficiency, and allocation of resources.
  • Define, monitor, and improve core operating metrics including gross margin, customer acquisition efficiency, lifetime value, retention, and cash runway.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting, including performance summaries and clear communication of business drivers to leadership and board stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that convert detailed data into actionable recommendations for decision-making.
  • Enhance finance systems, tools, and workflows to improve automation, reliability, and scalability as the company expands.
  • Spot financial risks and upside opportunities early, and support decisions grounded in data.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and newer technologies to strengthen FP&A and financial operations.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to keep financial strategy aligned with company goals.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to FP&A, strategic finance, and business partnering.
  • Strong command of financial statements, forecasting, modeling, and SaaS operating metrics.
  • Demonstrated success in building advanced financial models and presenting insights to senior executives.
  • Strong analytical ability with a talent for simplifying complex information and shaping business decisions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-moving, high-growth settings.
  • Confident communication skills, including presenting financial updates to executives and board-level audiences.
  • High sense of ownership, adaptability, and the ability to juggle several priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in and experience with AI tools that improve financial planning and analysis.
  • Background in a high-growth SaaS or AI-driven company is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring finance team members is an added advantage.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA is beneficial.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package tied to experience and contribution.
  • Equity ownership in a rapidly growing technology business.
  • Fully remote setup with flexible, trust-based working hours.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage.
  • Flexible time-off policy.
  • Paid sabbatical after five years of service.
  • Wellness stipend to support physical and mental well-being.
  • Company offsites and team gatherings to encourage collaboration.
  • Technology and learning stipend for conferences, books, courses, and professional growth.
  • The chance to help establish the finance function of an innovative AI-focused organization.
