Role Overview
We are looking for a Director of Facilities to lead the overall management and operational effectiveness of a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing site. This position ensures that the facility functions safely, compliantly, and efficiently, supporting GMP manufacturing standards, research activities, and corporate needs. The role involves overseeing site maintenance, utilities, engineering, vendor relationships, and infrastructure planning to enable current operations and future growth while fostering a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute facilities strategies and maintenance programs aligned with GMP manufacturing demands and business scalability.
- Manage daily operations of both GMP manufacturing and non-GMP research facilities, adapting infrastructure to evolving laboratory and research requirements.
- Oversee site services including cleaning, waste disposal, security, parking, and workplace environment standards to support a positive workplace culture.
- Administer vendor and contractor relationships ensuring effective procurement, service delivery, budget oversight, and cost efficiency.
- Lead preventative and corrective maintenance activities for building infrastructure, equipment, utilities, and critical systems, ensuring proper documentation and optimization.
- Implement strong governance, risk management, and reporting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives.
- Provide leadership for the facilities team by defining expectations, delivering feedback, and promoting professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Facilities Engineering), Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
- At least 10 years in facilities, engineering, or site operations leadership within GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or comparable manufacturing settings.
- Certifications relevant to facilities, maintenance, reliability, or project management preferred.
- Proven skills in managing facility operations, critical utilities, capital projects, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in project and vendor management, budget administration, and operational cost control.
