Job description

About the Organization

Headlight is a psychiatrist-founded behavioral health organization focused on reshaping access to mental healthcare. The company emphasizes clear communication about services, treatment options, and insurance coverage, and it uses data-driven improvements to strengthen care delivery. Its mission is to improve lives one session at a time.

The clinical team is given both autonomy and strong organizational support so the focus stays on better patient outcomes. The organization also aims to influence care standards at a system level, not just in individual appointments.

As a trusted behavioral health partner in the Western U.S., Headlight has built relationships that provide broad access, strong interoperability, and priority referrals. Its coordinated care model and feedback loops are designed to improve outcomes while lowering costs.

Care is delivered through a combination of personalized engagement and technology that supports, rather than replaces, human connection. The organization believes direct human relationships are essential at every stage of care.

The Director of Credentialing and Enrollments will own credentialing operations and ensure that clinicians are onboarded accurately, compliantly, and on time across all markets. The role is remote/hybrid.

  • Create and maintain credentialing policies and procedures that align with NCQA, CMS, and state-specific rules.
  • Handle payer enrollment activities, including delegated credentialing arrangements, and support any related audits.
  • Work closely with recruiting, clinical operations, legal, and finance teams to keep onboarding efficient and compliant.
  • Develop credentialing data systems, reports, and dashboards to improve tracking, visibility, and performance.
  • Track changes in regulations and payer rules to maintain compliance and reduce risk proactively.
  • Serve as the credentialing representative in internal cross-functional discussions and payer-facing meetings.

  • At least 7 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, including 3 or more years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health credentialing and payer enrollment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with delegated credentialing relationships and audit management.
  • Comfort using credentialing platforms such as Modio, MD-Staff, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to scale operations, improve systems, and design efficient compliant workflows.
  • Strong communication, project coordination, and team leadership skills.
  • Must be based in, or able to regularly commute to, Salt Lake City, Utah for a hybrid schedule.

Benefits

  • W-2 position with competitive pay.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day of the month after employment begins.
