Director of Corporate Affairs - Energy Sector

About the Role

Our client, a prominent entity in the energy and sustainability field based in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Affairs. This leadership position oversees four key divisions: Strategy, Policy, Sustainability, and Customer Relations, each led by heads who report directly to the director. The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring onsite presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overarching strategic guidance across corporate affairs, ensuring cohesive integration among strategy, sustainability, communication, and stakeholder relations.
• Lead government department and public policy stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Track and analyze external developments to deliver insightful, high-quality advice.
• Drive sustainability integration within enterprise strategy and operations, embedding ESG principles throughout organizational practices.
• Serve as a senior strategic counselor to the executive team on matters of stakeholder management, policy, and sustainability.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years in senior leadership roles, ideally within regulated sectors, demonstrating a record of delivering enterprise-level strategic results.
• Comprehensive expertise in corporate strategy, communications, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of public policy formulation and regulatory infrastructures.
• Proven ability to establish trusted relationships and influence leadership stakeholders.
• Strong familiarity with sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks.
