Overview
This is a prime opportunity to serve as Director of Corporate Affairs within a semi-state organization, tasked with leading corporate affairs encompassing corporate strategy, public affairs, sustainability, strategic communications, and customer and stakeholder engagement. The role focuses on implementing the organization's strategic priorities, offering insightful advice to the executive leadership, nurturing key external relationships, and embedding a customer-centric and sustainable approach throughout the entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the creation and deployment of organizational strategy, converting priorities into clear, measurable results.
- Oversee leadership functions across corporate strategy, public affairs, strategic communications, sustainability initiatives, and stakeholder relations.
- Cultivate and sustain trusted connections with government bodies, regulatory agencies, industry groups, customers, and additional vital stakeholders.
- Advise the executive team strategically on policy matters, reputation management, stakeholder communications, and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Manage strategic communications to elevate the organization's external reputation and profile.
- Incorporate customer and stakeholder insights into organizational strategy and decision-making processes.
- Promote sustainability by integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into both strategy and day-to-day operations.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams to encourage collaboration and enhance organizational capabilities.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive senior leadership experience within complex, regulated, or infrastructure-heavy environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in corporate strategy, public affairs, communications, stakeholder interaction, and sustainability.
- Deep understanding of governmental operations, public policy, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven success in developing trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders and executives.
- Experienced in guiding strategic communication efforts and overseeing the management of organizational reputation.
- Strong strategic insight, sound commercial judgment, and effective decision-making skills.
- Proven track record in leading and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Collaborative and customer-oriented leadership approach with a dedication to achieving sustainable organizational results.
