What you will do
- Set the direction for the organization’s worldwide communications approach and ensure it supports long-term goals.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on reputation, messaging, and stakeholder engagement.
- Design and grow a high-caliber communications team, including structure planning and hiring.
- Develop strong working relationships with major international financial media outlets.
- Turn complex investment activity into clear, credible, and engaging stories.
- Oversee external, internal, digital, and content-led communication efforts.
- Handle communications across sensitive stakeholder settings, including government, regulatory, and institutional audiences.
- Create crisis communication plans and response procedures.
- Build a motivated, high-performing communications team and positive team culture.
Who this role is for
This opportunity is aimed at a highly experienced communications executive with extensive leadership exposure at the senior management level. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of communications in financial services, investment management, sovereign institutions, asset management, or closely related sectors. Experience transforming or establishing communications functions in large, complex organizations will be important, along with strong knowledge of financial markets and investment-related messaging. Existing relationships with international financial and business media are highly valued. The role also calls for strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to manage a wide range of senior stakeholders. Prior experience in sovereign wealth funds, central banks, government-linked investment bodies, or similar organizations would be a strong advantage, and familiarity with the Gulf region and its institutional environment is preferred.
