Role overview
This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity in the United States for someone who can create and scale a commercial strategy and operations function from the ground up. The role partners closely with executive leadership to shape how a fast-growing field organization operates, with a strong focus on sales performance, analytical insight, operational discipline, and cross-functional alignment.
The position blends strategic direction with day-to-day execution. It offers the chance to influence revenue growth, territory design, compensation planning, and broader business transformation work. The environment is fast-moving and innovative, with AI-enabled insights, rigorous analysis, and continuous improvement playing a central role in decision-making. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys building scalable systems in ambiguity and wants high visibility and long-term impact.
Core accountabilities
- Work alongside senior sales leaders to define commercial direction, annual planning, operating cadences, and performance management routines that support revenue expansion.
- Build, refine, and rebalance sales territories while establishing the operational backbone needed for a large and growing field team.
- Own incentive compensation design, quota planning, and performance tracking so that sales behaviors stay aligned with business goals.
- Create executive-level dashboards, sales analytics, forecasting tools, and reporting structures that convert data into practical recommendations.
- Review commercial results, competitive movement, product introductions, and field activity to surface growth opportunities and process improvements.
- Use AI solutions and advanced analytics tools to strengthen decision-making, automate work, and raise commercial operations productivity.
- Drive strategic initiatives across sales, product, marketing, market access, and technology functions to support growth and operational excellence.
- Develop scalable processes, guide analytical teams, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement and data-led execution.
Experience and requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in commercial strategy, sales operations, revenue operations, management consulting, or a closely related business leadership role.
- Track record of working with senior sales leaders to build commercial strategies that support rapid growth.
- Proven ability to design territories, quota structures, and variable pay programs for large field sales organizations.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with hands-on use of Excel, Salesforce, AI tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Background leading high-performing teams in analytics, commercial operations, or data science.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities, with the credibility to influence leaders at multiple levels.
- Self-starter mindset with strong ownership, adaptability, and comfort working in changing environments.
- MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience in molecular diagnostics, healthcare, life sciences, oncology, prenatal diagnostics, or another regulated healthcare setting is highly valued.
- Exposure to AI-driven workflows, large language models, or automation within commercial functions is a strong plus.
Benefits and compensation
- Total annual compensation can reach up to $471,554.
- Base pay is $246,525 to $267,962 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Equity participation and a corporate bonus plan are included.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage is provided, with certain employee plans fully paid and strong dependent coverage available.
- 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% employer match.
- Paid family bonding leave of 16 weeks at full pay for eligible employees.
- Supplemental fertility support.
- Paid time off that grows with tenure.
- Company-issued technology and equipment to support work productivity.
- Collaborative and transparent culture with regular all-company meetings and the chance to contribute to meaningful healthcare innovation.
- Opportunity to help shape a rapidly expanding commercial organization in an innovative healthcare environment.
