Job description
Role Overview
AccentCare is hiring a full-time Director of Business Operations for its Plantation, Florida hospice market. This is an on-site role covering Plantation and nearby areas. The position supports long-range planning and operational coordination for the hospice program.
Compensation and Schedule
The pay range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 per year. The work schedule is Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Business Operations will guide long-term planning for the hospice program and help turn strategic forecasts into actionable plans.
- Build market analysis to support expansion planning and identify when new geographies or facilities may be needed.
- Support the Director of Business Development in converting long-range plans into medium- and short-term execution.
- Work with Talent Acquisition so staffing plans align with patient care needs.
- Partner with Human Resources on promotion, retention, and termination decisions while keeping them aligned with care goals and staffing standards.
- Coordinate with Education to ensure employees and contracted providers understand the hospice mission, policies, procedures, and competency expectations.
- Take part in new-hire orientation, ongoing in-service training, and continuing education initiatives as needed.
- Supervise office staff, including the Team Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Physician Support Specialist.
- Ensure pre-billing documentation from field staff is completed and uploaded promptly and accurately by Team Assistants.
Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Practical finance knowledge, including setting financial goals, forecasting budgets, and using controls to track progress.
- Ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities accurately and quickly under time-sensitive pressure.
- Comfort working across departments and with both local and national teams.
- Prior administrative experience with business office matters; hospice program knowledge is preferred.
