Job description
Role overview
JD&Co is partnering with a rapidly expanding, founder-led consumer scale-up to hire a Brand Marketing Director. This person will take ownership of the brand agenda and help shape the next stage of growth for one of the UK’s emerging category-leading consumer names.
What the role will own
The company already has a Growth Director focused on performance marketing, ecommerce, CRM, customer lifecycle and commercial expansion. This position is centred on the brand itself, with accountability for how the business is positioned and perceived in the market.
- Brand positioning and overall brand strategy
- Founder narrative, public profile and thought leadership
- Product innovation and new launch planning
- Creative campaigns and content direction
- Partnerships, press activity and community building
- Strengthening long-term brand equity and customer loyalty
The aim is to define the reasons people choose the brand, what it represents, and how it builds lasting customer advocacy.
The business already has strong commercial foundations in place and now wants a leader who can evolve it from a promising challenger into a true category leader.
Candidate profile
This opportunity suits someone who has created brands that customers genuinely connect with and value. The ideal background is not just performance-led growth, but strong brand thinking, invention and storytelling that has helped an emerging business become widely recognised.
Relevant experience may include:
- Leading a consumer brand repositioning or transformation
- Launching standout consumer products or propositions
- Building the authority of a founder and the brand around them
- Delivering campaigns, collaborations or partnerships with cultural relevance
- Scaling a modern founder-led consumer brand through a period of fast growth
Experience from food and drink, wellness, beauty, lifestyle or similar consumer categories would be particularly relevant. The business is seeking someone who understands how distinctive brands create emotional pull, customer loyalty and durable commercial value, while working closely with a strong growth team.
Location and package
The role is hybrid, with a base around East London, North Kent or Essex. The package includes a base salary of up to £150,000, plus bonus and equity.
