Job description
Company Overview
Tia is revolutionizing women's healthcare by treating women comprehensively rather than focusing on individual conditions or life phases. Integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness through both physical clinics and virtual platforms, Tia enhances outcomes, lowers costs, and improves the experience for patients and providers alike.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Operations Director to spearhead and enhance operational effectiveness across Tia's care delivery system, encompassing onsite clinics, virtual care, and virtual psychiatry. This leadership role involves guiding location-based Operations Directors and collaborating closely with clinical leaders to ensure consistent, patient-focused, high-quality, and financially sustainable care across all sites and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide strategic leadership for operations spanning in-person clinics, virtual care, and psychiatry services, ensuring uniformity and accountability across markets and service lines.
- Manage Operations Directors at various locations, empowering them to achieve market objectives and support clinic teams effectively.
- Collaborate in a dyad model with clinical leaders to harmonize operational activities with clinical quality, patient and provider satisfaction, and business results.
- Establish and maintain standardized operating rhythms including performance reviews, problem escalation, planning, and accountability mechanisms.
- Develop scalable, repeatable operational systems that embed rigor and infrastructure consistency across the organization.
- Formulate and implement enterprise-wide operational plans aligned with clinical, operational, financial, and growth objectives.
- Translate organizational priorities into uniform workflows, staffing models, and operational protocols.
- Identify and address operational inconsistencies across markets with scalable and effective solutions.
- Leverage data analytics to detect inefficiencies and performance gaps, monitoring key metrics on patient access, scheduling, provider availability, staffing, patient and team experience, and financial outcomes.
- Coordinate with business functions including finance, marketing, clinical services, and human resources to forecast staffing and capacity demands.
- Support new clinic openings, market expansions, pilot clinical programs, and optimal staffing strategies.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing financial, operational, and clinical outcomes across the organization.
- Maintain close partnerships with strategic clinical collaborators such as Cedars-Sinai to optimize patient care and clinical results.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive leadership experience managing multi-site, multi-market healthcare operations, preferably involving ambulatory, primary care, women's health, urgent care, or hybrid care models.
- Proven ability to manage operational leaders and establish standardized operating procedures across dispersed teams.
- Exceptional leadership skills characterized by authenticity, accountability, and a commitment to talent development and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and manage complex operational challenges.
- Data-savvy decision-maker capable of turning analysis into actionable insights and measurable improvements.
- Financially astute with experience overseeing budgets, profit and loss, staffing costs, and operational performance indicators.
- Experienced in managing complex projects and leading change initiatives in dynamic, growing environments.
- Agile and hands-on leader comfortable balancing strategic and operational demands.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years progressive healthcare operations experience, specifically in ambulatory, outpatient, primary care, women's health, multispecialty, urgent care, virtual care, behavioral health, or hybrid delivery settings.
- At least 3 years experience leading operations across multiple sites, markets, or care modalities in multi-location settings including in-person and virtual environments.
- Track record of managing managers such as Operations Directors, Clinic Directors, Market Directors, or equivalent operational leadership roles.
- Strong command of financial management, analytics, project and change management, and team leadership.
- Proven success establishing repeatable systems, driving accountability, standardizing workflows, and enhancing distributed team performance.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to maintain direct in-market presence.
Work Location and Conditions
This position is based in Los Angeles, California and requires onsite attendance. Travel to various markets and clinics is expected to ensure operational alignment and team support.
