About the Role
Our client, a well-established investment and lifestyle platform, is looking for a seasoned Director of Investments and Business Development to spearhead strategic growth across real estate, hospitality, and related commercial sectors. This leadership position demands a commercially savvy professional who excels at spotting opportunities, assessing investments, and steering comprehensive business initiatives from inception to realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and generate new investments, acquisitions, and business development prospects.
- Conduct feasibility analyses, commercial assessments, and financial modeling for prospective projects.
- Lead mergers, acquisitions, strategic collaborations, and joint ventures from initial sourcing through negotiation and completion.
- Analyze market developments, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends to guide strategic decisions.
- Forge and maintain robust relationships with investors, developers, government bodies, consultants, and industry collaborators.
- Create innovative commercial approaches and business models that foster sustainable growth.
- Support real estate development activities through meticulous planning, due diligence, and project evaluation.
- Collaborate effectively with finance, legal, design, construction, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Deliver strategic proposals and investment recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 15 years in senior leadership roles, preferably within real estate, investment, hospitality, or related fields.
- Robust expertise in business development, investment analysis, strategy formulation, asset management, or real estate development.
- Demonstrated success managing acquisitions, partnerships, or significant commercial deals.
- Strong commercial insight and financial proficiency, including conducting feasibility studies, valuations, and building financial models.
- Well-connected within the real estate and investment sectors.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with proven ability to transform opportunities into profitable outcomes.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influence.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar disciplines; an MBA is a plus.
