Position Summary
The General Manager position involves comprehensive oversight and leadership of MasterBrand's made-to-order manufacturing facility under the Kitchen Craft brand, based in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Vice President of Semi-Custom Operations, this role carries full authority and responsibility for the site's strategy, operations, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct overall leadership and accountability for operational results, strategy, and performance of the Winnipeg manufacturing plant.
- Manage full profit and loss responsibility, ensuring achievement of volume, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Formulate and implement strategic plans that support MasterBrand's growth and operational priorities.
- Oversee day-to-day production in a complex, high SKU, highly customized manufacturing environment.
- Champion a culture prioritizing safety, operational excellence, and continuous process improvements.
- Evaluate operational data, pinpoint deficiencies, and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies including RFID and automation solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure manufacturing aligns with market demands and customer expectations.
- Develop leadership talent, manage succession planning, and enhance organizational capabilities.
- Foster a high-performance, people-centric culture grounded in accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing operational efficiency and executing continuous improvement programs with measurable results.
- Strong business and financial skills, including experience managing substantial P&L accounts and driving growth and profitability.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, automation, and improvement methodologies.
- Proven leadership ability in building and energizing high-achieving teams throughout organizational levels.
- Exceptional executive communication capabilities with skill in articulating strategies and mobilizing teams toward common objectives.
