Job description

About DriveWealth

DriveWealth is a global B2B financial technology company focused on making investing more accessible. Its platform is built around APIs that help partners deliver modern investing and trading experiences through mobile products. The company supports a broad set of investment products, including US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and options, and is driven by the belief that financial opportunity should not be limited by geography, wealth, or legacy infrastructure.

The culture combines startup speed and adaptability with the discipline, control, and regulatory rigor expected in financial markets. The environment encourages experimentation while maintaining high standards of execution.

About the Role

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for building and strengthening DriveWealth’s FP&A function as the business scales. This position will shape forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, KPI development, and financial modeling to support public-company-level readiness. The role will also translate complex brokerage economics into clear financial guidance for senior leadership, helping create a predictable and transparent finance operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning models aligned with business strategy.
  • Help build an FP&A function that can support public-company standards and a future IPO-ready operating model.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define, monitor, and interpret KPIs, unit economics, margin trends, capital allocation, and partner profitability.
  • Contribute to the rollout of EPM and BI tools that improve reporting automation and make the finance stack more scalable.
  • Prepare executive and board-facing materials that present financial performance and operational metrics in a clear, decision-ready format.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, corporate FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or financial strategy, preferably in fintech or financial services.
  • Experience in a public company environment or direct involvement in an IPO process is required.
  • Investment banking background is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on ownership of company-wide planning, forecasting, and complex financial modeling.
  • Advanced capability in scenario analysis, forecasting, and breaking down brokerage-style unit economics.
  • Experience improving financial reporting systems and planning infrastructure, including EPM and BI tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information for executives, boards, and investors.
  • Leadership strength with experience working alongside senior executives, building teams, and improving operating discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced qualifications such as an MBA or CFA are considered a plus.
  • A track record of ownership, disciplined delivery, and sound judgment in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and keep focus on the most critical outcomes.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills and a high level of integrity, with respect for risk management, controls, and operational excellence.

Location and Work Style

This position is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid setup. Office attendance is expected on a schedule determined by the Hiring Manager or team. DriveWealth’s New York, Chicago, and Lithuania teams work in-office four days each week.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected base pay for this role is between USD 250,000 and USD 275,000. The position is also eligible for bonus, equity, 401(k) match, and heavily subsidized benefits and perks. Additional offerings include full insurance coverage, a wellness reimbursement, a company-issued phone, a personal development allowance, generous PTO, observed holidays, and extended leave.

Work Authorization

Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where the job is located when they apply. Employees must provide original proof of work authorization on or before their first day. For US-based positions, applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States full time without current or future visa sponsorship. DriveWealth does not provide visa sponsorship or support for employment authorization transfers. Any offer depends on maintaining the legal right to work at the company.

Use of AI

DriveWealth values people who are comfortable using AI and other modern tools to work faster and more effectively. Candidates who can use internal technology to improve outcomes, reduce friction, and support stronger service and product delivery are especially valued.

Equal Opportunity and Application Notice

DriveWealth is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants from all backgrounds. Employment decisions are not based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

DriveWealth does not accept agency resumes and is not responsible for fees related to unsolicited submissions.
