- Work with senior leaders to interpret regulatory updates and convert them into practical business actions and control enhancements.
- Track program performance, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements that strengthen control environments and operational durability.
- Represent the organization in governance meetings, risk committees, and regulator-facing discussions when needed.
- Lead change efforts, including readiness activities, stakeholder communication, implementation planning, and long-term adoption.
- Create, update, and improve policies, procedures, and training materials that reinforce compliance awareness and risk culture.
- Provide oversight and quality checks for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal or external examinations.
- Align stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure consistent application of governance frameworks.
- Review complex data and risk information to deliver strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build a stronger risk-conscious culture through coaching, communication, and visible leadership support.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of relevant experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or program leadership.
- A post-secondary degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience.
- Advanced program management capability with a track record of leading large, complex initiatives.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, operational risk, AML, and compliance obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a subject matter expert in internal controls and enterprise risk systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and data-informed judgment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain complicated regulatory topics in simpler terms.
- Comfort working in changing, unclear, and fast-evolving environments.
- Proven collaboration experience in large, matrixed organizations.
- Background in change management, policy creation, and operational governance structures.
Compensation and benefits
- Base pay is stated at CAD 105,000 to CAD 182,900, depending on experience and location.
- Performance incentives and discretionary bonuses may be available where applicable.
- Coverage includes health, dental, vision, life, and accident insurance.
- Retirement savings and pension plan options are offered.
- Support is available for tuition reimbursement and ongoing learning.
- Flexible work arrangements include remote options within Canada.
- Employees can access leadership development, coaching, and growth opportunities.
- The workplace is described as inclusive, diverse, and collaborative, with a long-term growth focus.
- Additional support programs are available for wellness and professional development.
