Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a senior Ethics & Compliance leader based in Ireland and handled by a partner employer. The role sits within a large international setting and is designed for someone who can shape compliance direction across several European markets while advising senior leaders on ethical business practices, governance, and risk.
You will help set the tone for integrity and accountability across a complex multinational organization. The position blends strategic leadership with practical oversight, so you will be expected to guide policy, strengthen controls, and support business growth without losing sight of regulatory obligations. You will work across Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and business leadership to embed compliance into day-to-day decisions.
The environment is collaborative, fast-moving, and purpose-driven, with strong visibility across regional and global stakeholders.
Key accountabilities
- Shape and continuously improve the regional Ethics & Compliance agenda for Europe, making sure it fits both global expectations and local legal requirements.
- Act as a trusted counselor to senior leaders on compliance exposure, governance matters, regulatory updates, and internal investigations.
- Promote an organization-wide culture of integrity and accountability through training, communication, and visible leadership engagement.
- Direct compliance monitoring, risk evaluation, and mitigation planning to keep control frameworks effective.
- Lead or support internal investigations with proper escalation, documentation, and resolution of compliance concerns.
- Partner with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and business teams to make compliance part of operational planning and decision-making.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and help shape decisions at senior European and global levels.
- Apply governance principles consistently while adjusting to changing regulatory expectations.
What we are looking for
- Substantial experience leading Ethics & Compliance programs in multinational or otherwise complex international organizations.
- Deep knowledge of European regulatory requirements, corporate governance, and compliance risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior executives in highly complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with internal investigations, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Credible leadership style with a collaborative and trusted advisory approach.
- Ability to balance legal and regulatory demands with commercial objectives and business enablement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex matters clearly to executive audiences.
- Strong analytical judgment and sound decision-making in sensitive or high-stakes situations.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Audit, and senior business leaders.
Benefits and additional information
- Competitive pay aligned with senior leadership responsibilities.
- A benefits package adapted to local country requirements.
- Development opportunities through leadership training and continuous learning.
- Exposure to global mobility and broader international experience within a large organization.
- An inclusive workplace that values different perspectives and ethical leadership.
- Well-being support covering mental, physical, and financial health.
- Opportunities to join global communities, initiatives, and volunteering activities.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote setup depending on your location within Europe.
