Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and seasoned Director of Engineering Services to steer engineering strategies and manage operations within our India and South Asia portfolio. Situated at the Corporate Office in Gurugram, the role encompasses leadership in MEP design coordination, overseeing project execution, managing engineering operations, driving energy management efforts, and supervising maintenance activities across both existing and upcoming hotels.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all hotels under operation comply with established Energy Management guidelines.
- Maintain Property Operating & Maintenance Expenses and Capital (POMEC) budgets across all hotels.
- Support leadership in hiring Engineering Heads for both operational and project-based hotels.
- Facilitate smooth project handovers, strictly following pre-defined procedures.
- Guarantee adherence to Fire Life Safety (FLS) regulations in all projects and operating hotels.
- Review selection processes of MEP consultants for assigned projects on behalf of owners.
- Provide expert input on engineering designs to align with brand standards during design and construction phases.
- Advise on project deliverables concerning brand standards and fire safety requirements.
- Coordinate project reporting, ensuring timely updates through internal staff and external agencies.
- Monitor and report on project progress within assigned portfolios.
- Collaborate closely with design teams for interior design integration on projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with property owners, their representatives, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Participate in regular site inspections and review meetings to oversee project advancement.
- Liaise frequently with Accor specialist teams including Food & Beverage, Spa, and IT departments.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (both preferred).
- At least 20 years of substantial experience in hospitality engineering, technical services, or project management.
- Demonstrated leadership in regional or multi-property engineering roles.
- Comprehensive expertise in hotel design, MEP systems, fit-outs, and operational workflows.
- Proven experience collaborating with property owners, developers, and engineering consultants.
- Strong understanding of contracting approaches and frameworks to successfully deliver projects.
