About the Role

You will direct the strategic growth and delivery of services across energy, generation, manufacturing, food processing, and industrial sectors. This leadership role involves expanding client relationships, shaping technical offerings, and overseeing complex project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the E,C&I team across New Zealand, aligning service development with market and client demand.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert insights and technical counsel to clients during project inception and execution.
• Drive business development initiatives, including bid preparation and cross-disciplinary collaboration within AECOM.
• Oversee technical approaches, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Promote project delivery excellence by managing scope, timelines, and budgets through effective project and design management.
• Mentor and coach E,C&I team members to enhance their technical skills, consulting expertise, and career growth.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience (minimum 15 years) in instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering focused on large-scale, complex projects.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong client relationships at senior leadership and technical levels across various industries including industrial, manufacturing, and public sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of E,C&I engineering principles including binary cycle engineering.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and ensuring deliverables meet design and contractual standards.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement capabilities spanning technical and commercial domains.
• Experienced leader with a track record of developing teams, establishing training frameworks, and succession planning.
• Possesses a relevant engineering degree, preferably with postgraduate credentials such as Chartered Engineer status.
