The work is highly strategic but also hands-on, requiring fast decision-making, strong editorial instincts, and the ability to guide messaging in high-pressure moments.
You will work closely with executive leaders, marketing, and product teams to turn complex business initiatives into clear, persuasive narratives for media, agents, and other key audiences. The goal is to keep messaging aligned, consistent, and influential while strengthening brand reputation and market perception.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the development of the company’s narrative, PR approach, and executive communications so the brand voice remains consistent across channels.
- Handle the full public relations workflow, including drafting press releases, distributing them, pitching journalists, and managing post-launch outreach.
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters, media organizations, and industry writers to generate earned media coverage.
- Support communications for major company milestones, product rollouts, leadership changes, and important announcements.
- Convert business updates into clear, engaging messages for both internal groups such as agents and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and executive leadership to keep messaging aligned across teams.
- Coordinate narrative work across several active priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Oversee messaging for highly visible initiatives, with an emphasis on accuracy, speed, and editorial quality.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in communications, corporate PR, content strategy, or a closely related area.
- At least 3 years in a senior leadership position owning communications strategy and execution.
- Proven track record of handling executive and C-suite communications in complex organizations.
- Strong experience with press release planning, media relations, and earned media campaigns.
- Ability to build narratives that work across multiple audiences and communication channels.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, along with strong editorial judgment and the ability to deliver quality content quickly.
- Experience partnering with marketing, product, and executive teams in a cross-functional setting.
- Comfort using PR software, CRM systems, analytics tools, and project management platforms.
- Background in public companies or sectors like real estate, proptech, or financial services is beneficial.
Perks and benefits
- Remote flexibility from anywhere within the United States.
- Flexible paid time off for salaried team members.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting.
- Monthly support for technology and home office expenses.
- Health, wellness, FSA, and HSA programs with employer contributions.
