Overview
The Coca-Cola Company seeks a Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations for Base Business Still Categories to bridge the brand teams with sales and bottlers. This leadership role drives communication and alignment of initiatives among bottlers, customers, channels, and geographic teams, ensuring smooth execution of category plans across multiple retail formats like large stores, convenience retail, drug stores, value formats, and club stores. The position leads the development of comprehensive multi-year commercial strategies implemented across customers and bottler partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead formulation of commercial strategies and develop tools/resources tailored for Customers and Bottlers in the base business segment.
- Collaborate with brand teams on annual commercial planning processes to ensure enterprise-wide alignment via initiatives such as Voice of the Market and Ready to Sell, overseeing system-wide plan communication and rollout.
- Create and manage base business AMPS and provide consultation on Statements of Guidance (SOGs).
- Coordinate annual order of entry strategy development and execution alongside Innovation & Programs Directors.
- Oversee portfolio management and SKU optimization with Brand and Product Line Management committees, including acceleration and sunsetting initiatives.
- Work closely with Supply Chain teams to communicate supply disruptions and prioritize SKU delivery to Customers and Bottlers.
- Maintain stewardship of commercial strategy to secure Bottler alignment and execution with Franchise operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within the consumer goods or beverage sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership with multi-channel exposure including large, small stores, and Foodservice/On-Premise channels.
- Experience in brand or category management and proven success in driving change and collaborating with diverse internal and external partners.
- Strong communication skills with capability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels, articulating strategic vision and tactical priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience
- 10-15 years of experience in consumer goods/beverages industries.
- General management and customer/sales management background enhances candidacy.
Compensation & Benefits
The role offers a competitive annual salary range between 141,000 USD and 165,200 USD, adjusted based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience, complemented by comprehensive medical and financial benefits. An annual incentive target of 30% of base salary is offered, reflecting performance at market competitive levels. Long-term incentive eligibility ranges between 0% and 20%.
