Role Overview

The Director of City Asset Management plays a pivotal role in shaping how social assets within City Operations are prepared, maintained, and optimized. This leadership position is tasked with safeguarding the long-term value of city assets while ensuring exceptional service quality, operational efficiency, and commercial success across a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead management at the portfolio level for social assets to ensure their readiness, service excellence, lifecycle performance, commercialization, optimization, and realization of long-term value within City Operations.
  • Steer asset lifecycle strategy and oversee portfolio performance management across city assets.
  • Manage service quality assurance and handover readiness to facilitate smooth operational functioning.
  • Convert operational requirements into specific stage gate criteria and preparedness inputs.
  • Collaborate effectively with operators, facility management providers, and City Operations teams to harmonize asset management priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as real estate development, finance, asset management, economics, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in asset management, particularly within extensive city or infrastructure portfolios.
  • Strong commercial acumen encompassing leasing strategies, partnership management, service charge administration, cost recovery, and value optimization.
  • Practical expertise in asset lifecycle planning, service quality oversight, handover preparedness, and managing portfolio performance.
  • Adept at translating operational requirements into defined stage gate conditions and readiness criteria.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders including operators, facility management providers, and City Operations divisions.
