Key Responsibilities

  • Bring an entrepreneurial, high-ownership approach to Nium’s offerings across banking, financial services, cards, e-commerce, and payments.
  • Develop, secure, and oversee client relationships throughout the Americas, with a strong emphasis on retail financial institutions.
  • Consistently exceed prior performance levels and show a proven ability to hit financial targets, create sales opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close business.
  • Drive revenue, customer flow goals, and profitability objectives that have been agreed in advance.
  • Use consultative selling methods and a strong results focus to meet or surpass sales and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Actively identify market opportunities through direct outreach and partner channels.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, create qualified opportunities, map accounts, influence decision-makers, align solutions to client needs, and close deals.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of proven business development or sales experience in payments, e-commerce, cards, financial services, fintech, or banking go-to-market roles in North America.
  • Strong history of exceeding commercial goals in previous sales positions.
  • Ability to independently originate opportunities with regional financial institutions and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Commercially practical mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and shape solutions.
  • Strong customer empathy and the ability to tailor an approach to different clients while solving problems effectively.
  • Data-led and analytical thinking.
  • Highly results-driven, customer-focused, and committed to delivering value at the same time.
  • Comfort working independently as well as within a global team.
