Job description
About the Role
Scoot launched in 2012 with a small fleet of three Boeing 777-200 aircraft and has since grown into an airline family of more than 50 aircraft. The operation includes aircraft from the Airbus A320 range as well as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family, supported by newer technologies designed to create a quieter, smoother, and more comfortable journey for passengers.
As a First Officer, you will work alongside the Captain to ensure flights are operated safely, comfortably, and punctually. You will also help deliver the airline’s distinctive service culture to passengers on board.
Role Requirements
- You should have accumulated more than 1,500 hours of fixed-wing flying time on aeroplanes with a maximum take-off mass of 5,700 kg or above.
- You must hold a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore-issued ICAO CPL(A) or ATPL(A). If you hold a foreign ATPL, licence conversion will be required, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least 6 months of validity.
- You need to be able to communicate in English at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- You must meet all vaccination requirements specified by CAAS.
Preferred Attributes
- A genuine interest in aviation and a strong willingness to keep learning.
- Confidence, maturity, calmness, and a collaborative mindset when working in a team.
- A light-hearted personality that helps bring positive energy to the workplace.
- An attitude and mindset that fit the airline’s service culture.
Training, Co-Payment and Bond
- If needed, selected candidates will undergo training to obtain a type rating for the aircraft fleet assigned to them.
- Where type rating training is offered, candidates will be required to share the training cost and sign a training bond.
Selection Process
- Applicants who make the shortlist will first complete a set of online aptitude assessments.
- Candidates who progress beyond the online stage will be invited to an assessment centre in Singapore, which includes a group exercise and an individual interview.
- Those who pass the earlier stages will then attend a simulator assessment and a personality assessment conducted over two days.
