Job description

Role overview

Scoot is looking for a data-driven Product Specialist to join its Crew Systems team, with a focus on Rostering and Optimization. The position is centered on improving the tools and processes that power crew scheduling, utilization, and day-to-day operational performance. You will partner with teams across Operations, Crew Management, IT, and external suppliers to deliver system upgrades that cut down on manual work, strengthen reliability, and support smoother operations.

What you will do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of crew rostering and optimization products, from gathering needs and shaping solutions to testing and rollout.
  • Review crew utilization patterns, rostering results, and system performance to spot areas that can be improved.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal technology teams on system setup, feature improvements, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with deployments, new feature launches, and reviews after implementation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders from Operations, Crew Planning, Cabin Services, IOCC, and Network teams.
  • Help drive automation efforts and ongoing upgrades to crew-related systems.
  • Partner with designers to create clear, practical UI/UX that improves ease of use and user adoption.

What we are looking for

  • Strong ability to analyze problems and think through solutions logically.
  • Recent graduates with a solid analytical foundation and an interest in complex operational environments are encouraged to apply.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or another related discipline with a specialization in Optimization.
  • Comfort using analytical or technical tools such as SQL, Python, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain models, trade-offs, and solver results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with strong stakeholder and change management capabilities.
  • Prior exposure to airline operations such as Crew Planning, Crew Control, Operations Control, or Network Operations will be a strong advantage.
