Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and energetic Digital & Social Media Coordinator to bring the Plumbing World brand to life by sharing compelling stories across digital platforms. This part-time position, based at the Parnell Support Office in Auckland, offers 30 hours weekly, combining flexibility with the chance to make a significant impact on brand visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a proactive content pipeline by sourcing stories from across the business including customer successes, supplier partnerships, product launches, community events, and behind-the-scenes activity.
  • Create and manage content calendars aligned with commercial campaigns and events.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos, produce engaging social media posts including short-form videos and reels, and write resonant copy tailored to audiences on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the company website.
  • Coordinate publishing schedules, monitor performance metrics, and report on content effectiveness to inform continuous improvements.
  • Stay updated with digital trends and experiment with new content formats and storytelling techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including branches, sales, suppliers, and support functions to identify new digital content opps.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and image across all channels.
  • Support website content maintenance and campaign activities.
  • Travel across the branch network as required to capture authentic stories.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in creating content for social media and digital platforms within marketing, brand, or communications roles.
  • Strong skills in photography, videography, and basic editing.
  • Proficiency in producing captivating short-form video content.
  • Excellent writing abilities with adaptability to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing, scheduling, and analytics tools.
  • Highly organised with ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Creative mindset combined with great attention to detail.
  • Confident relationship-builder across various business levels.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently within the branch network.
