Job description
About the Organisation
Zayed National Museum is situated in Saadiyat Cultural District, Abu Dhabi, and serves as the national museum of the United Arab Emirates. Through exhibitions, research and public programmes, it presents the nation’s heritage, from its earliest roots to the present day. The museum also honours the life and legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose values continue to shape the country.
Built around knowledge, inclusion and public engagement, the institution reflects the UAE’s role as a meeting point for cultures and ideas. It is focused on offering visitors a welcoming, informative and memorable experience while preserving and sharing the rich history and culture of the UAE and its people.
Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Lead will assist the Digital Marketing Section Head in planning and executing the museum’s digital marketing strategy across all digital channels. This position is highly hands-on and involves leading projects, with a particular focus on influencer and celebrity coordination, photo and video production, paid media campaigns, and multi-channel digital execution.
The role is expected to ensure that all digital activity is delivered to a consistently high standard, stays aligned with the museum’s brand, narrative, policies and KPIs, and contributes to ongoing improvement, innovation and teamwork within the broader Marketing and Communications function.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate influencer and celebrity partnerships through external agencies, making sure campaigns reflect the brand, follow requirements, and are delivered and reported on effectively.
- Oversee the full production cycle for photography and videography, manage vendors, maintain quality standards, and ensure digital assets are properly governed across the museum.
- Support the planning and execution of paid digital media in collaboration with agencies, including briefing, optimisation, spend monitoring, performance measurement and reporting.
- Lead digital campaigns from start to finish across owned, paid and earned media, align internal and external stakeholders, improve performance, and contribute insights and reports.
- Assist with social media planning and daily operations, including content controls, creative development, performance analysis and platform optimisation.
- Support updates and content improvements for the website and app using performance data, user behaviour insights and campaign requirements.
- Help plan and execute CRM initiatives, including audience-focused campaigns and bilingual email content.
- Support digital signage content, survey creation, rollout and analysis.
- Contribute to reporting across digital channels, including dashboards, insights and development of reporting tools.
- Participate in digital innovation projects, pilot initiatives, process improvements and the use of AI tools in line with the museum’s digital roadmap.
- Assist with administrative and coordination tasks such as RFPs, agency onboarding, budget and KPI monitoring, timelines, approvals, documentation and governance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a closely related discipline.
- Between 5 and 7 years of professional experience in digital marketing, ideally within museums, culture or tourism.
- Demonstrated ability to work with agencies and manage several digital workstreams at the same time.
- Hands-on experience supporting campaigns, content creation and paid media delivery.
- Prior exposure to influencer and celebrity coordination.
