Job description
About the Company
KYU Media is a Sydney-based creative agency that has won industry recognition for its work in personal branding, campaign strategy, digital marketing, podcasts, and content production. Established in 2019 by Matt Purcell, the team supports well-known Australian personalities and businesses by strengthening their visibility, credibility, and market presence. Its services span podcast production, photography, videography, and graphic design, offering clients a complete end-to-end content and brand solution.
Who They Work With
The agency primarily partners with service-led businesses such as buyer's agents, mortgage brokers, and public figures with service-based ventures. Growth is driven through content and paid media, including digital advertising, ad creative, organic social media, and podcast production. The team acts as a strategic partner rather than simply an executional resource.
Team Structure
KYU Media operates with a pod-based model: each pod is a compact, self-sufficient team made up of a Strategist, Account Manager, Marketing Executive, Videographer, Editor, and Graphics specialist. The business is expanding its paid advertising capability, so the role involves helping shape systems and processes as the function grows.
Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Executive will be expected to stay organised, remain composed under pressure, and work well with clients and teammates. This is a hands-on role focused on campaign delivery, optimisation, lead generation, reporting, and process improvement.
Eligibility
This position is only suitable for candidates who are already based in Australia, have at least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience, and can demonstrate real outcomes from Meta advertising, lead tracking, and CPL improvement. The employer is looking for someone dependable, accountable, and easy to work with.
Compensation
The salary range is AUD 80,000 to AUD 95,000 per year, plus superannuation and performance-based bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of campaigns across owned, earned, and paid media.
- Create, launch, and improve campaigns on Meta, EDM, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Design and test lead generation approaches that bring in qualified prospects.
- Monitor leads from start to finish and report on cost per lead and performance drivers.
- Write copy and prepare creative briefs that reflect each client’s unique brand voice.
- Coordinate closely with production and content teams so messaging stays aligned.
- Improve systems and workflows by identifying bottlenecks and creating better processes for the team and clients.
Performance Measures
- Reduce and sustain lower cost per lead across client accounts.
- Improve cost per acquisition so clients acquire customers more efficiently.
- Increase the number of qualified leads rather than just cheap traffic.
- Maintain accurate end-to-end lead tracking with no missing data.
- Deliver clear, timely reports covering CPL, CAC, and key performance insights.
- Improve return on ad spend to maximise client investment.
- Support client retention by driving results that justify continued engagement.
Values and Working Style
The team values strong results, accountability, and good character. They want people who stay committed, take ownership, and bring energy without needing constant direction. The culture prizes high standards, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Hiring Process
The selection process has three stages: an initial interview, a trial shift or project to assess practical ability, and a final decision.
Benefits
- Annual staff retreat.
- Commission opportunities in addition to base salary.
- Flexible office arrangements.
- More than $1,000 per year allocated to personal and professional development.
- Daily free barista coffee at the studio.
- A team culture that is light-hearted socially but serious about the quality of work.
Additional Notes
Applicants are asked not to proceed unless they meet all stated conditions. Candidates must be based in Australia, have 3+ years of real campaign experience, and be able to show ownership, integrity, and strong professional character. The role is described as suited to someone who wants to build systems, improve outcomes, and work in a performance-driven environment.
