About the Role
Impala Healthtech Research is expanding the systems that help advanced diagnostic services reach more health facilities in Uganda and beyond. The organization is seeking a driven, professional Diagnostic Logistics & Support Officer to help strengthen its growing diagnostics network and support access to life-saving testing while contributing to antimicrobial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Move microbiology and other diagnostic specimens from health facilities to partner laboratories.
- Assist health facilities with onboarding, rollout support, and ongoing client service activities.
- Support live programs, pilot initiatives, and commercial operations.
- Take part in field marketing efforts and engagement with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the growth of the organization’s diagnostic logistics and rider capacity.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or a closely related health sciences discipline.
- A valid Class A driving permit and confidence riding motorcycles.
- Practical understanding of specimen collection, handling, and transport standards.
- A high level of professionalism, dependability, and readiness for a demanding field-based position.
- Previous exposure to last-mile diagnostic logistics or sample referral systems will be considered an advantage.
