Role overview

Centorrino Technologies is looking for a customer-focused Desktop Support Officer to provide high-quality onsite technical assistance in Sydney. This is a full-time position based at the customer’s site and also at CT’s Sydney office. The role involves supporting a wide range of technology in a collaborative environment that values service, improvement, and innovation.

The position suits someone who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, and brings a positive approach to solving day-to-day technology issues. You will work with a mix of Macs, PCs, tablets, server systems, network equipment, and voice platforms, while specialist teams handle much of the backend server and networking work.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the customer’s daily technology operations running smoothly.
  • Build strong, friendly relationships with end users.
  • Work with teammates to identify processes that can be improved or made more efficient.
  • Gather feedback on your support and use it to improve service quality.
  • Spot issues or requests that do not yet have a defined process and help create and implement one.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation and procedures.
  • Take ownership of everyday technical problems and coordinate with external third-party providers when needed.
  • Collaborate across other internal teams to achieve the best outcome for the customer.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to customer service and a genuine interest in helping people resolve technology issues.
  • Comfort working with computers and other devices, and a willingness to troubleshoot technology for others.
  • Interest in technology and openness to learning new tools, systems, and concepts.
  • Clear and calm communication when diagnosing and explaining technical problems.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a history of supporting others through technical challenges.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills for dealing with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours or adjust schedules when unusual situations arise.
  • Valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check.
