Designer - Knits, Menswear - Louis Philippe

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and experienced Designer specializing in Knits for Menswear to join our team at Louis Philippe, based in Bangalore. This role involves designing seasonal collections aligned with brand aesthetics and market trends to drive the brand's presence and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create innovative seasonal designs that resonate with the Louis Philippe brand identity.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Designer and Brand Designer to gather inputs and align on the new seasonal collections and planning.
• Conduct comprehensive seasonal market research to analyze competitors, trends, and category evolution in the menswear knit segment.
• Prepare detailed concept presentations to obtain feedback and finalize the range for each season.
• Create presentation boards and develop sample products with support from sourcing and product teams to prepare for trade shows.
• Represent the brand at trade shows by presenting, promoting, and influencing the product line to achieve business targets and gather customer feedback.
• Oversee the finalization of samples ensuring quality and design adherence.
• Develop detailed indents for samples, specifying technical details such as specs, artwork, and colorways clearly.
• Provide comprehensive Design, Material, and Hardware (DMH) notes to sampling merchandisers.
• Approve final gold seal samples produced by sampling merchandisers.
• Innovate in product design by exploring new garment designs, fabrics, styling, and fits for the menswear knit collection.
• Prepare Product Development briefs to facilitate smooth creation and production processes.

Experience & Qualifications

Candidates should have 2 to 6 years of design experience in fashion, preferably in knit menswear. A Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree from NIFT or similar prestigious institutions is required.
