Job description

About the role

KAST is hiring a Junior or Mid-level Design Systems Designer to strengthen its internal design foundation. This position is focused on serving internal engineering teams and feature designers rather than external consumer marketing or product features.

You will report to the Design Systems & Ops Lead and divide your time evenly between maintaining and supporting the core design system and helping develop an internal AI-powered tooling engine.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep existing Figma components current by applying updates, resolving bugs, and improving performance based on blueprint specifications from the lead.
  • Serve as the first contact for internal designers and developers who need help with design system usage or guidance.
  • Partner with the lead to shape and build the framework for an AI-driven tooling engine.
  • Create structured, information-heavy dashboard and admin panel templates with accurate auto-layout and variable configurations.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of product design experience, with prior exposure to design systems and dashboard work preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in Singapore.
  • Strong command of Figma, including auto-layout, variables, component properties, and related workflows.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and the ability to build, prompt, and manage AI agents for design-to-development processes.
  • Basic understanding of Flutter and JavaScript concepts and how they influence product development.

Additional information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore. The position is split 50/50 between design system maintenance/support and internal AI tooling development.
