Role overview
This role sits at the centre of store operations, helping create a strong customer experience from the head office support network through to the shop floor. It is a people-focused leadership position for someone who enjoys setting the pace, leading by example, and driving performance in a busy retail environment.
What you will do
- Assist the Store Manager with the daily running of the store.
- Work toward key performance indicators with a clear results-focused mindset.
- Lead, encourage, and develop the store team.
- Keep the shop floor looking sharp, orderly, and customer-ready.
- Make sure stock levels remain sufficient at all times.
- Deliver consistently strong customer service.
What you need
- Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a fast-moving environment.
- A full driving licence.
- Strong motivation to work in a varied, fast-paced setting where targets and deadlines matter.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager is preferred, but not essential if you bring the right attitude.
Salary and benefits
The compensation package is advertised as competitive and transparent, with pay equality across Lidl roles. The starting salary is €51,000 and increases to €60,000 after 3 years.
