Overview
This role involves comprehensive product management responsibilities focused on API pumps, including technical support, product development, and cross-functional coordination within a multinational pump manufacturing company. The Deputy Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing product performance and supporting sales teams through detailed costing and technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of product management for API pump lines.
- Deliver technical assistance for all API pumps manufactured at the Engineering Product Development (EPD) center.
- Provide expert support on product-related technical queries to departments such as Sales, Production, Foundry, Purchase, Quality Management, and Test-field.
- Drive new product development initiatives and improvements leveraging feedback from various departments and through personal initiatives.
- Lead efforts to standardize and automate processes related to the products.
- Assist the Sales team with product costing and financial evaluations.
- Contribute to product improvement efforts and develop sales collateral including leaflets and brochures.
- Coordinate activities with licensed partners ensuring alignment and compliance.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of SAP systems and API pump technology.
- Adhere to mandatory requirements of prior experience within the pump industry.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Educational qualification: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mandatory prior experience working in the pump industry is essential.
