Role overview
This position is focused on shaping product strategy, improving category competitiveness, supporting product rollouts, enabling sales teams, and driving category expansion. The incumbent should have a strong grasp of market direction, customer expectations, competitor offerings, and product positioning so the business can strengthen its market presence and meet growth goals.
Product launch and training
- Coordinate the planning and smooth execution of launch meetings and counselling sessions for both new and existing products.
- Help sales and business teams build product understanding through effective knowledge-sharing.
- Create and deliver presentations, training content, and communication tools related to products.
Market research and go-to-market planning
- Carry out SWOT reviews, market evaluations, and go-to-market studies for current and upcoming product categories.
- Study market potential and suggest strategic actions to improve category performance and reach.
- Assist with product positioning and commercialization plans.
Product knowledge and sales support
- Build strong expertise in the sanitaryware category and connected product ranges.
- Work closely with sales teams through regular market visits to understand customer needs, market movements, and business opportunities.
- Offer technical and commercial input that helps improve sales performance and customer interaction.
Competitor tracking and product gap analysis
- Keep a close watch on competitor products, innovations, certifications, and market changes in domestic and international markets.
- Identify gaps in the current product portfolio and highlight opportunities to strengthen offerings.
- Suggest product upgrades, new launches, and certification needs to keep the range competitive.
Benchmarking and pricing support
- Build and maintain comparisons of products, features, pricing, and value propositions against leading competitors.
- Share practical benchmarking insights and reports with sales and leadership teams.
- Support discussions on pricing using market and competitor intelligence.
Display and merchandising excellence
- Ensure strong product presentation and visibility across relevant channels such as Jaquar World, Jaquar World Premium, company display centres, regional displays, market displays, and shop-on-display outlets.
- Track adherence to display standards and recommend improvements that enhance visibility and customer experience.
Business growth and strategic initiatives
- Lead innovative efforts to improve product management processes, product placement, and overall business performance.
- Identify and implement bold measures that help strengthen category performance and market presence.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for new opportunities that support revenue growth and customer acquisition.

Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business management, or a closely related discipline is required. Prior exposure to sanitaryware, bath fittings, building materials, consumer durables, or similar industries is preferred.
