About the Role and Department
The Indirect Tax (IDT) division at Nexdigm supports diverse industries by providing expertise in GST, Customs, FTP, and legacy indirect tax laws such as VAT, excise, and service tax. Offering advisory, litigation, compliance, policy advocacy, and refund services across India and GCC, this team comprises seasoned leaders from Big4 firms, legal practices, and industry.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to lead indirect tax advisory, compliance, and litigation tasks focusing on technical accuracy, client satisfaction, and collaboration. The role covers GST, Customs, FTP, SEZ, VAT, Excise, Service Tax, and international indirect tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver precise and timely GST advisory notes, memos, and compliance reports.
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring risk management and accuracy across projects.
- Manage special assignments including tax due diligence, health checks, and litigation such as appeals and assessments.
- Promote a learning environment through team updates and indirect tax training.
- Support clients comprehensively during audits and regulatory scrutiny.
- Lead and nurture a minimum team of three members, focusing on motivation and skill development.
- Optimize resource planning and task distribution for quality and punctual delivery.
- Identify training needs for self and team and coordinate required skill development.
- Develop strong, trustful client relationships while enhancing engagement depth.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation including billing and debtor recovery.
