The company is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, recognized as a prominent ink manufacturer serving the packaging sector in India. With eight offices and a workforce exceeding 200 employees (excluding support services), Siegwerk India operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, approximately 70 km from New Delhi.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain best safety practices, ensuring upkeep of safety-relevant installations, machinery, and fire-fighting equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate safety standards, including operating and storage permits.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and prepare monthly HSE inspection reports.
- Identify health and safety hazards and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
- Assist the 5S Coordinator in executing 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
- Support the Safety In-charge in various HSE functions such as promotional activities, development of new safety documentation and procedures, HIRARC implementation, OHC activities, HSE software updates, and conducting safety audits.
- Resolve day-to-day HSE performance issues by coordinating with operations teams and providing guidance.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and injuries to determine root causes and implement preventive measures; gather incident reports, update incident boards, and ensure follow-up on corrective actions, recording all in HSE software.
- Recommend process and equipment safety enhancements to reduce employee exposure to chemical hazards.
- Assist Safety In-charge in preparing HSE Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports in alignment with Siegwerk corporate guidelines on a regular basis.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech Chemical) or M.Sc. in Chemistry/Environmental Science. Additional qualification such as PGDIS, ADIS, or RLI certification recognized by central or state technical education boards is preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years working in the chemical or petrochemical industry with proven expertise in HSE management.
