Job Purpose

The role of Deputy Manager - Control & Instrumentation (C&I) is centered on overseeing the daily operations of C&I systems, managing maintenance activities, leading emergency response, ensuring safety compliance, collaborating with various internal and external parties, and continuously improving system performance to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the performance of C&I systems and equipment to maintain uninterrupted functionality, promptly troubleshoot problems, and support production needs.
• Plan and implement maintenance schedules for C&I devices, carrying out inspections, corrective repairs, and calibration tasks aimed at reducing downtime.
• Respond swiftly to any failures or breakdowns in C&I systems to minimize disruption, coordinating efforts among teams for effective resolution.
• Adhere to and promote established safety procedures and emergency protocols while conducting regular audits to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external entities such as vendors and contractors to facilitate seamless integration and operation of C&I systems.
• Lead initiatives to enhance system performance through adopting new technologies and best practices in process optimization.
• Cultivate a safe, team-oriented workplace culture and mentor team members to support their professional development.

Stakeholder Interaction

The role involves coordination with various internal stakeholders including C&I leads, electrical area in-charges, shift engineers, mechanical engineers, and C&I in-charges. Externally, it engages with equipment vendors, maintenance contractors, service providers, and applicable regulatory authorities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Educational credentials must include a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Additional certifications in automation, control systems, or PLC programming are advantageous.
• Applicants should have a solid grounding in electrical and instrumentation engineering concepts.
• Professional experience between 3 to 5 years managing C&I operations and maintenance within industrial environments is required, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining system reliability, and operating within a shift-based system.
• The candidate must possess proven capability in emergency management and adherence to safety standards.
