Deputy Head of Estates

Role Overview

Based at Northwick Park Hospital while supporting multiple sites including Ealing Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and various Community locations, this position involves managing day-to-day Estates Services for the Trust. The Deputy Head of Estates holds senior accountability to ensure these services are delivered safely, effectively, and in full compliance with regulations. Additionally, the role supports the Associate Director of Estates and Capital Projects, contributing to ambitious projects aimed at enhancing services for patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Guarantee that Estates services operate safely while maximizing opportunities to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Develop and implement Estates policies, procedures, and systems that fully align with the Trust's processes and values.
• Take ownership of specific sections within the annual business plan related to estate management, operations, and service delivery.
• Actively engage in stakeholder group meetings to promote collaboration and progress.
• Advise on and analyze benchmarking data for Estates services both locally and nationally to foster continuous improvement.
• Ensure robust monitoring and financial control systems are in place within the Estates domain to manage budgets effectively.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety standards to reduce risk to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Lead contract reviews and negotiations to secure high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services that align with Trust requirements.
• Interpret and uphold legal and regulatory requirements along with best practice guidelines.
• Develop and use key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and demonstrate delivery of defined service standards.
