Deputy General Manager – Strategy & Marketing (Acute Therapy)

About the Role

Cadila Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Deputy General Manager for their Marketing Project Lead position, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This role involves spearheading international marketing strategies and managing brand portfolios by collaborating closely with Strategic Business Unit marketing heads. The focus lies on global brand selection, analyzing market gaps, optimizing portfolio mix, competitive positioning, and fostering sustainable growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for global market expansion by leveraging marketing insights and design geo-expansion strategies centered on strong domestic brands.
• Formulate justifications for launching new brands on a global scale and facilitate the introduction of existing successful domestic brands into international markets.
• Enhance marketing and operations coordination to increase execution speed and ensure alignment of supply chain and operations with market demand.
• Select brands tailored to global therapy segments and develop attribute mapping for geographic positioning.
• Create robust brand and marketing strategies, optimize product mix, including reviewing tail-end brands for profitability enhancement.
• Lead KPI-driven execution of marketing initiatives, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to recommend appropriate corrective measures.

Candidate Profile

• A background in pharmaceutical marketing or portfolio strategy with 5 to 7 years of experience, including involvement in international healthcare business projects.
• Strong skills in strategic marketing, business analytics, brand management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
