Located in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, the role of Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Plant Supply Chain is critical to overseeing the entire supply chain operations at the plant, ensuring alignment of demand and supply via efficient planning and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the central liaison for all supply chain communications at the plant.
• Take full responsibility and accountability for monthly demand commits and supply fulfillment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance across all supply chain functions.
• Maintain and reinforce the Quality Management System by addressing deviations, change controls, CAPA, investigations, and related documentation promptly.
• Facilitate compliance with internal/external audits by ensuring timely responses and resolution of audit findings.
• Adhere to regulatory and quality standards including current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), statutory requirements, and regulatory audit mandates.
• Drive effective production planning and execution alongside stakeholders to satisfy production schedules and customer commitments.
• Monitor and optimize raw and packing materials inventory, validate inventory norms regularly, and exercise control over slow-moving, obsolete, and commercial inventories.
• Coordinate material quality releases, ensuring timely dispatch of finished products with accurate documentation and on-time delivery.
• Oversee handling, control, and regulatory-compliant disposal of expired, rejected, or scrapped materials, ensuring timely scrap dispatch.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and achieve supply chain performance targets.
• Represent the plant in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and other supply chain forums as needed.
• Lead initiatives for supply chain optimization at the plant level.
• Conduct periodic assessments of plant capacity and spearhead lead-time reduction initiatives.
• Manage logistics operations efficiently.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare management information systems (MIS) reports, and actively engage in performance review meetings.

Key Performance Deliverables

• Ensure regulatory compliance in warehouse, material inventory, and logistics operations.
• Meet monthly targets for demand versus commit.
• Achieve supply commitments both at overall and line-specific levels.
• Ensure order fulfillment with On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations; MBA preferred.
• Over 15 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain operations.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharma, nutrition, or food manufacturing supply chain roles.
• Hands-on expertise with planning tools such as SAP and KINAXIS.
• Minimum 5 years operating within a regulatory environment.

Additional Information

This position involves working onsite at the Paonta Sahib location. Travel requirements are estimated as per plant needs. The role focuses heavily on leadership, compliance, operational excellence, and collaboration.
