Job Overview
This role involves delivering clerical and customer service support essential for the functions of the municipal court.
Key Responsibilities
- Import and manage citation processing.
- Prepare and handle bench warrants and license suspension documentation.
- Address emails, answer phone calls, welcome visitors, provide assistance, take messages, and direct inquiries to the right personnel.
- Process and reconcile payments received from fines.
- Organize and complete filing of forms and records, including motions, conflict letters, and scheduling resets.
- Attend court sessions to enter sentences, fines, probation details, and warrant data.
- Maintain and update daily and weekly statistical reports related to court operations.
- Reconcile jail funds and daily deposits from the court.
- Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate inmate virtual first appearances in court.
- Prepare the courtroom prior to court proceedings and handle post-court breakdown.
- Create and manage the court calendar for upcoming court events.
- Update the municipal court website with bond schedules and relevant court information.
- Process purchase order requisitions.
- Oversee the court-appointed attorneys list and manage billing statements.
- Maintain the inventory of office supplies.
- Receive and process incoming mail.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Familiarity with Municipal Court policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant professional software applications.
- Understanding of customer service techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts.
- Ability to operate modern office equipment effectively.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
