Overview

As the Department Manager at & Other Stories in Dublin, you will play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional customer experiences beyond expectations. Leading a committed and dynamic team, you will foster an environment that is inviting, inspiring, and performance-driven, ensuring every customer interaction is personalized, authentic, and memorable. Your leadership and operational oversight will be essential in bringing the brand to life on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by sharing expert styling guidance, demonstrating deep product knowledge, and creating engaging store experiences.
  • Evaluate sales data and collaborate closely with the Store Manager to enhance departmental results.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Sales Advisors to consistently meet service and visual presentation standards.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and the continuous training of new team members.
  • Identify promising talent and contribute to career development plans to support team growth.
  • Manage daily store operations ensuring efficiency aligned with brand expectations.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, delivering the highest quality experience for customers at all times.
  • Assume Store Manager responsibilities as required to ensure stable leadership and sustained performance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Solid understanding of retail store operations and standards, preferably with experience in fashion retail.
  • Customer-centric mentality with a genuine passion for engaging and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong enthusiasm for the products and the ability to share this passion with customers.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and proactively pursue development opportunities.
  • Excellent communication abilities, delivering clear, confident, and empathetic messaging to both customers and team members.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and customer demands, demonstrating flexibility in work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred but not essential: proven team leadership skills in fast-moving environments and ability to interpret retail KPIs for performance improvement.

Additional Information

This full-time role entails a 39-hour workweek at the Dublin & Other Stories location. Candidates should apply promptly with an English CV.
