Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Doha, Qatar is for a Dental Laboratory Technician who will create, alter, and repair dental prosthetics such as dentures and other restorative devices. The job blends traditional lab methods with 3D printing and digital fabrication techniques, requiring careful execution of dental instructions, model preparation, material selection, equipment use, and detailed recordkeeping.
Key Duties
The technician will inspect finished work for accuracy and quality, coordinate with dentists and dental staff to confirm specifications, and ensure all lab work is carried out in line with hygiene and safety requirements. The position also includes improving lab processes, assisting with the development of new products, and helping bring emerging technologies into everyday production routines.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should bring practical lab experience, strong handling of materials and equipment, and a clear understanding of infection control and safety practices. A solid grasp of dental technology is important, especially around prosthetic design, digital workflows, and resin 3D printing or related fabrication methods. Knowledge of dentistry is needed to interpret prescriptions, understand occlusion and aesthetics, and meet functional requirements. Hands-on experience in dental or medical laboratories, along with competence in making and adjusting dentures or other prosthetics, is highly relevant. A diploma or degree in Dental Technology or a similar field is preferred, and familiarity with CAD/CAM and 3D printing systems will be an advantage.
