Job Overview

This full-time position based in Newport, County Tipperary, requires a dedicated Deli Assistant to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• Training in HACCP is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication abilities
• Previous experience in customer service is beneficial
• Capability to operate efficiently within a team in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks under pressure
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the skill to engage and inspire shoppers

Key Responsibilities

• Embody and promote Centra's brand values: pride, energy, imagination, and community focus
• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food sections, including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats adhering to the store's portion control guidelines
• Cook, prepare, and present food items sold throughout the day
• Maintain high standards of counter displays in all fresh food departments consistently during operating hours
• Express passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers
• Handle customer inquiries promptly, professionally, and in alignment with store policies
