Role Overview
The College seeks a full-time Dean of Admission based at its Lancaster, PA campus. The role reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and involves directing all facets of admission recruitment, review, selection, and yield for both domestic and international first-year and transfer applicants. This leadership position requires collaboration with institutional stakeholders to align strategies with College goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide leadership across the Office of Admission including recruitment, campus visits, and event management.
- Supervise key personnel: Director of Recruitment, Director of Admission Visit Experience & Lombardo Welcome Center Manager, and Director of International Recruitment & Admission.
- Guarantee operations meet standards by promoting professional development, ensuring staff compliance training, and optimizing efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment and other divisional leaders to implement effective enrollment strategies.
- Develop and execute innovative, data-informed recruitment, selection, and yield strategies aligned with institutional objectives for enrollment quality, numbers, tuition revenue, and class diversity.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with secondary schools, counselors, community and national organizations, two-year colleges, and campus partners to enhance the College's recruitment visibility and outreach.
- Enhance visit programs designed to foster affinity and increase application and enrollment numbers.
- Coordinate with colleagues on communications and marketing initiatives that attract prospective students and families, ensuring alignment with recruitment efforts.
- Work in partnership with the Athletics Department and coaches to support student-athlete recruitment.
- Contribute to creating an inclusive culture that values belonging for all students.
- Manage the admission budget and produce comprehensive annual admissions reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in selective college admissions or related fields with demonstrated success.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams within a college or university environment.
- Familiarity with liberal arts educational settings and recruitment-focused CRM systems.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Suite applications including Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
- Commitment to fostering community and inclusion.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience working with minors; background checks and protections for minors are required.
- Successful completion of interviews and background verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred.
- Senior leadership experience in admissions at selective liberal arts colleges or universities.
- Knowledge of Technolutions Slate and other educational enterprise platforms.

Employment is contingent upon successful reference checks, criminal background verification, and credential validation coordinated by the College. The College offers competitive starting salaries up to $140,000 annually and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, educational benefits for employees and dependents, and access to campus facilities and events. Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time exempt position based on the Lancaster campus.
- Standard workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, with required evening and weekend availability.
