About the Role
Whitecliffe is looking for an academic leader to guide academic operations, strengthen teaching practice, and support a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high standards. The role focuses on aligning learning delivery with industry expectations while keeping student outcomes and academic quality at the centre.
The successful candidate will work across academic, industry, and regulatory environments, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and help teams adapt to new technologies, tools, and approaches that improve education delivery.
What You Will Do
- Take ownership of programme delivery and ensure academic quality across all programmes.
- Guide and assist faculty leadership teams.
- Lead initiatives that improve student engagement, satisfaction, and success.
- Protect programme accreditations and ensure compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
- Promote ongoing improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.
What You Bring
- A PhD or an equivalent terminal qualification in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an academic program or department setting.
- Preference for candidates with leadership exposure across multiple schools or faculties.
- Proven ability to lead diverse academic and professional teams.
- Strong capability in managing change and introducing educational innovation.
- Background in research supervision and research management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to educational quality and student-focused practice.
- Resilience and flexibility in a changing higher-education environment.
