Role summary

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Doha, Qatar for a Heating Air Conditioning Specialist. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The position requires day-to-day fault finding, troubleshooting, preventive servicing, and ensuring that systems run safely and efficiently. You will also review technical drawings and specifications, collaborate with project teams and contractors, record completed work, and communicate progress clearly to customers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and associated components.
• Identify system faults through troubleshooting and diagnostic checks on mechanical, electrical, and control parts.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities such as inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and performance verification.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications accurately.
• Work alongside project teams and contractors to support smooth execution of HVAC-related work.
• Maintain clear documentation of all tasks completed, service actions, and observations.
• Provide professional on-site customer support and keep clients informed about service progress.
• Follow safety procedures, apply proper use of PPE, and uphold HVAC work standards.

Required qualifications and experience

• Hands-on background in HVAC installation, commissioning, and repair across different system types.
• Ability to diagnose faults accurately in HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Practical understanding of plumbing as it relates to HVAC work, including piping and drainage.
• Experience planning and performing preventive maintenance for HVAC equipment.
• Strong client-facing communication and customer service ability.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices for HVAC tasks.
• Vocational diploma, technical certificate, or trade qualification in HVAC or Mechanical Systems; additional manufacturer or HVAC certifications are a plus.
• Capability to read technical drawings and manuals, with basic computer skills for reporting and work-order handling.
• Prior experience working as an HVAC specialist or in a similar role.
