Overview

We are seeking a Dealer Sales Development Consultant based in Singapore responsible for enhancing dealer salesforce commercial and leadership skills through effective learning and development programs. This role supports the Dealer of the Future initiatives by aligning dealer capabilities with market growth priorities and collaborates with the Global Commercial Talent Development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main liaison for dealer sales and leadership training within the assigned region, working closely with dealers, District Industry, and Dealer Sales Development teams.
  • Drive awareness and uptake of commercial training modules and courses among dealers and regional/district teams, ensuring relevance to dealer needs and processes, particularly engaging with dealer sales management, learning & development, and HR managers.
  • Manage the intake and coordination of dealer and district training requests within the designated territory.
  • Maintain awareness of product training strategies, resources, and contacts across all Industry teams.
  • Collect and relay dealer feedback from the region to the Global Commercial Learning team to identify training needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities for program success.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of Sales & Leadership competency models, assessment instruments, learning solutions, and platforms.
  • Evaluate dealer salesforce learning capabilities and provide tailored advice on key development areas.
  • Support and implement a framework and execution plan to enhance sales capability and growth while connecting business metrics to training effectiveness and impact measurement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and collaborate across diverse teams; adept at understanding business needs and translating them into pragmatic learning solutions.
  • Experience in managing training operations, learning programs, competency frameworks, assessments, and learning management systems, with knowledge of adult learning principles and training effectiveness evaluation.
  • Strong skills in project and change management including prioritizing, scoping, and leading process improvements and change adoption initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills; capability to gather feedback, analyze data, identify gaps, and implement solutions improving business performance and sales efficiency.
  • Self-motivated with ownership mentality, able to work independently or collaboratively; highly adaptable and resilient in fast-paced settings.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Sales Enablement, Commercial Training, Learning & Development, Sales Management, or Management Consulting.
  • Experience working with dealer or distributor networks, channel sales organizations, or large regional/global companies.
  • Skilled in delivering training programs across diverse countries, cultures, or regions.
  • Familiarity with sales competency models, leadership development frameworks, and LMS platforms.
  • High intellectual curiosity and strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Japanese language proficiency is beneficial as the role covers dealer interaction in Japan.

Additional Information

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% regularly, potentially increasing to 75% during peak periods.
  • This is a full-time, onsite role requiring presence five days per week in Singapore.
  • Caterpillar does not offer employment visa sponsorship for this position. Opportunities are available internationally through other openings.
  • International relocation or assignment is not available for this role.
