Job description
About the Role
eBay is hiring a Product Support Specialist (L24) for the Live Operations team in Germany. This position is highly execution-focused and sits at the intersection of Live Operations and Product. You will support sellers during live events, triage platform issues, and act as a key escalation point between sellers, GCX, Trust, Engineering, and Product teams.
The role plays an important part in keeping the platform stable, delivering strong live experiences, and surfacing product insights that help improve the seller experience in the German market.
What You’ll Do
- Provide real-time assistance to sellers before and during live streams.
- Monitor live events to help maintain platform stability, quality, and compliance standards.
- Assess and prioritize technical, policy-related, and account-related issues.
- Record and track cases carefully in HIVE (Salesforce).
- Work closely with Live Ops, Engineering, GCX, Trust & Compliance, and Category teams.
- Support QA checks and reproduce product issues when needed.
- Contribute to incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and ongoing process improvements.
- Track SLAs and assist with reporting on issue trends and resolution times.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with 2–4 years of experience in Product Support, Operations, Customer Support, or an e-commerce environment. Experience using ticketing platforms, dashboards, or live-streaming tools is important. You should be calm under pressure, especially in fast-moving and highly visible live situations, and bring strong problem-solving ability.
Clear written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of escalation handling are also essential. Very good German and English skills are required, with C1/C2 level proficiency.
