Position Overview
Join Athens Chick-fil-A as a Back of House (BOH) Team Member, where you'll not only contribute to preparing high-quality meals but also gain valuable skills and growth opportunities in a supportive and energetic kitchen environment. Exciting New Location
We are launching a new Chick-fil-A at the University of Georgia’s Tate Center between July and August 2025. We invite motivated individuals to be foundational members of this team, serving the UGA campus community with quality food and excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently prepare, cook, assemble, and present food items following Chick-fil-A's standards for safety and quality.
- Become proficient with all kitchen stations: frying, breading, assembling, grilling, preparation, and plating.
- Adhere strictly to food safety protocols to ensure freshness and high standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout shifts.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and promptly report any maintenance needs to leadership.
- Follow recipes and preparation guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Complete assigned opening and closing duties.
- Maintain Chick-fil-A’s dress code, policies, and core values at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with both BOH and Front of House team members.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Dependable team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen setting.
- Attention to detail in following recipes and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Capacity to multitask and remain organized under pressure.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.
- Previous experience in cooking, kitchen work, or food service is advantageous but not necessary; comprehensive training provided.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Part-time and full-time positions available with flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Shifts typically 8 hours, Monday to Friday with weekend availability.
- The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
- Hourly wage ranging between $12 and $15 depending on experience and performance.
